Pam Brooks, Director
Pam believes that art should be accessible to all, no matter their financial circumstances.
Born with the ‘creative gene’, her early experiences with art are closely tied to her family. Pam grew up in awe of and inspired by her older brother’s seemingly effortless ability to draw.
Her ‘ah ha’ moment came one day when a younger sister introduced her to the use of poured resin. Voila! Suddenly, the bits and pieces that Pam began collecting as a child found a ‘home’ in her mixed media. As a long-time lover of nature, she still integrates recycled and found objects into much of her artwork.
Pam’s love for making art was nurtured by her Gramma, with whom she spent many one-on-one weekends, experimenting and playing with pencils and paint. She smiles when she says, “And Gramma always hung my pieces up!”
Whenever a volunteer is needed, Pam is as enthusiastic to develop Rancho Cordova’s artist community as she is about making art.
