Frances learned to love the arts through many museum visits and art projects with her father. In high school she won the Betty Crocker trophy because she was always in the Home Ec. room, mostly doing self-designed embroidery.  She started quilting in 1995.

Not one to follow directions very well she evolved into a multimedia fiber artist, who loves the creative process using fibers and fabrics from conception to method discovery, to the final product.  She is always learning something new.  In 2008 she started teaching arts, crafts, and quilting to children and adults through various community education programs.

After completing her B.S. and M.Ed. in Special Education, with a minor in art she has made a career of substitute teaching.
